Meet Doctor Dave
Board Certified Foot & Ankle Surgeon
Dr. Williams is a board certified foot specialist. He is in a select group of about 150 foot surgeons in the country to be certified to use cutting edge technology for MIS (Minimally Invasive Surgery). Dr. Williams calls this type of surgery “ZIP” surgery, which stands for Zero Incisional Pain surgery. ZIP surgery is special because it uses very small incisions, providing quicker recovery for patients. While there are guidelines on who can have ZIP surgery, it can be used to treat hammertoes, bunions and arthritis of the foot.
Dr. Williams is also an expert at treating ingrown toenails and will treat up to 10 ingrown nails in a single day. That’s a lot of nails! Another big problem he treats is heel pain. In most cases, heel pain can be resolved or greatly reduced in just a few visits. Dr. Williams graduated from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. During his residency, he received training in pain management that gives him unique insight on how to manage pain effectively throughout the treatment process.
He was the Chief Resident of his surgical program in Salt Lake City, Utah. He is board certified in both forefoot and rearfoot surgery by the American Board of Lower Extremity Surgery and is a fellow of the American College of Lower Extremity Surgeons. Dr. Williams is an expert in treating ingrown toenails, heel pain, bunions, hammertoes and general foot pain. Managing pain is an important part of treatment.
Whether you need surgery or an in-office procedure, your problem will be taken seriously and treated effectively from the start. If you want to get better, faster, visit El Paso Feet.
